A powerful night of Indigenous comedy is coming to Calgary, bringing laughter, culture, and straight-up good medicine to the stage at Gulbar. Here’s why you don’t want to miss it.

here are comedy shows… And then there are comedy experiences that feel like sitting around with family, where everyone’s laughing so hard you forget what you were stressed about in the first place. This is one of those nights. The Must Be Nice Indigenous Comedy Tour is rolling into Calgary, and it’s bringing a lineup that feels less like a show… and more like a full-on gathering of hilarious Aunty energy, Uncle storytelling, and that one Nephew who might say something a little too real 😄

Here Are The Details

Location: Gulbar 636 10 Ave SW, Calgary, AB T2R 1C3

Date: Wednesday, May 6, 2026

Time: 7:00 PM – 9:00 PM

Who’s Bringing the Laughs?

This isn’t just one comedian carrying the night. This is a stacked lineup of Indigenous talent from across Treaty territories

Arsan Buffin from Flying Dust First Nations

Debbie Courchene from Sagkeeng First Nation

Don Kennedy From Flying Dust First Nation

Alex Ahenakew From Athabasca Chipewyan First Nation

Juli Fauna From The Blood Reserve

Jordon Weenie From Sweet Grass First Nation

Clay Alexson From Kahkewistahaw First Nation

J.R. Bjornson From Little Red River Cree Nation

Sarah Stupar From Metis Nation of Alberta

Each comic brings their own style, their own stories, and their own way of turning real-life experiences into something you can’t help but laugh with.

Why This Show Hits Different. Comedy like this doesn’t just go for punchlines. It connects.

You’ll hear stories, perspectives, and moments that feel real… mixed with the kind of humour that sneaks up on you and hits harder because it’s honest.

It’s laughter with meaning. Laughter with roots. Laughter that sticks with you on the ride home. Should You Go?

Final Thought

Life gets heavy sometimes. Bills, stress, responsibilities… all that fun adult stuff. But for a couple hours on May 6… you can trade all of that in for laughter.

And honestly… that’s a pretty good deal.
