2025 is almost in the books, and honestly? It wasn’t my busiest year for stand-up comedy
and that’s okay. Some years are about grinding. Some years are about surviving. And some years are about quietly realizing you’re ready for something new.
This video which you can watch here…
is about adapting, dreaming bigger, and rolling into 2026 with real intention.
Don't feel like watching the video? More of a reader? Then keep enjoying this blog post. It's the same story Just in printed text. Back to where we were.
I still love comedy. I still love being on stage and making people laugh. That part of me isn’t going anywhere. But I’ve also reached a point where I want to build something that lives beyond the stage, something people can take home with them.
That’s where the idea of a Blind Guy Comedy inspirational clothing line comes in.
Doing What You Can With What You Have
If you’ve watched the video, you know exactly where I filmed it. Sitting in my van… in -35°C weather. Why? Because I have five kids, and silence is a luxury item in this house.
That moment really sums up how I approach life and creativity. You adapt. And no, not like the new Alberta disability program that is coming to our disabled friends whom are being forcefully told to join. Oops political comedy, not my style that's the ADHD talking. Back to the topic. You make it work. You don’t wait for perfect conditions, you work with the ones you’ve got. That same mindset is what I want to carry into 2026.
Why Clothing? Why Now?
When I talk about clothing, I don’t mean fashion for fashion’s sake. I mean wearable encouragement. T-shirts with my jokes.T-shirts with quotes that actually mean something. Wristbands, phone holders, little everyday items that remind people to keep going especially on the hard days. At the end of the day, it’s all art. And it’s art I genuinely believe in. Comedy keeps me going. Creativity keeps me sane.
And even when traditional employment doors feel closed, something many people with disabilities understand all too well, I refuse to stop building something meaningful.
Blind Guy Comedy isn’t just a stage name to me. It’s the thing that keeps me moving forward.
The Goal for 2026
The plan is simple (but not easy)
1. Put on a few comedy shows.
2. Save up the funds I need to get started. $1,000 Canadian
3. Launch the Blind Guy Comedy inspirational clothing line.
4. Sell it myself at shows, markets, and events
5. See where it grows from there.
It’s going to take time. It’s going to take patience. And it’s going to take work.
But I believe it’s worth it.
Let’s Dream Together
If you made it this far, I want to hear from you.
What are your goals for 2026? Big or small. Practical or ridiculous. Half-formed or fully planned.
Drop them in the comments of the YouTube Video. I genuinely love reading them.
And yeah like, comment, and subscribe if you’re watching the video. I’m still learning to remember that part 😄
Here’s to adapting, creating, and keeping the momentum alive. See you in 2026.
