September Tour Announcement Along With Sharing a Fun Part of My Wonderful Past
September Update and Free Comedy Show
I am happy to announce that, as of September 19, 2026, I will be hitting the road for a fun little comedy tour! I have the opportunity to perform alongside hypnotist Scot Ward. The fun starts on September 19 at the Red Deer Memorial Centre. The show is for ages 12 and up. The ticket link will be added to this blog on Monday, July 13, 2026. If you do not see it here yet, please check back within the next 24 hours.
Performing alongside hypnotist Scot Ward is a full-circle experience for me. Back when I lived in Grande Prairie, Alberta, I was the evening announcer and weekend morning announcer for Grande Prairie’s Classic Rock and More, 104.7 FREE FM. At the time, it was a classic rock radio station, and those were the best seven years of my life as a blind radio announcer.
I had the opportunity to see Scot Ward perform in 2009, 2010, and 2011. I received free tickets because I worked in radio, and on a few occasions Scot even gave me tickets because I was such a loyal fan who kept coming back whenever he performed in Grande Prairie. Now I get to perform alongside this incredible gentleman—not as a fan or a radio announcer, but as his opening blind comedian for his hypnosis shows.
The other full-circle moment for me is Grande Prairie itself. I will always remember it as the place where I started and completed my dream of becoming a radio broadcaster. It was where I had the opportunity to work on the Street Team for Persona TV and Cable, which later became Eastlink TV. Grande Prairie was where I lived out many of my radio and television dreams without needing a fancy college degree. It was also where I graduated from Grande Prairie Composite High School in 2009. Shout-out to the Class of 2009!
After that, I moved to Central Alberta, where I began performing stand-up comedy eight years ago. Now I get to return to Grande Prairie this September—not as a radio announcer, not as a television broadcaster, but as your blind stand-up comedian. It fills me with excitement and butterflies knowing I’ve come full circle with everything I’ve accomplished in my 35 years of life.
