It’s that time again! It’s the first Saturday of the month, which means it’s time for another Blind Guy Comedy Presents Open Mic Comedy Night at Beats & Bourbon Country Saloon, located in Springbrook, Alberta.
The show starts at 8:30 PM and encourages anybody who wants to try stand-up comedy for the first time to give it a shot. It’s a 90-minute open mic comedy show, so we go until 10:00 PM. This show is for people ages 18 and up.
Because it gives comedians a place to practice their best material before performing it at professional comedy shows, you get to see jokes in their early testing stages. And you even get to watch possible new stars be born!
Kris Maciborsky started her comedy journey just over 12 weeks ago. That means she has been to a few open mic comedy nights, and we here at BlindGuyComedy.com would love to see how she does when she’s given 20 minutes of stage time at the end of an open mic comedy show.
Kris’s comedy style is a mixture of self-deprecating humour and personal stories about growing up. From dealing with people telling her how she should eat to wacky investment opportunities and jobs that she imagines she might one day create, her comedy is truly everywhere!
Saturday, November 7, will be her first time having this much stage time to perform her best jokes, and we are so happy to be the catalyst that gives her this opportunity.

Starting November 12, 2026, you can also drop off Christmas gifts in the form of toys for young children and teenagers.
